Friday Five: Decisions, Decisions

Songbird from Revgals writes:

Since I’ve been in the midst of a discernment process, I’ve done a lot of reflecting on how we make decisions. But don’t worry, I’m not going to ask you to reveal a dark story about a poor decision, or a self-flagellating story about an embarrassing one. Let’s keep it simple and go with five word pairs. Tell us which word in the pair appeals to you most, and after you’ve done all five, give us the reason why for one of them.

Here they are:

1) Cake or Pie – Pie! Strawberry, Peach, Blueberry, Apple, Elderberry, Pumpkin, Key Lime… Yeah. Pie. It even comes in chocolate!

2) Train or Airplane – Airplane, especially for longer trips.

3) Mac or PC –  Now that I have one, I have to say, MAC!

4) Univocal or Equivocal –  If I understand this correctly, Equivocal. I’m just not willing to declare there is only one meaning for a passage or a word, with a few exceptions.

5) Peter or Paul –  Probably Peter. I identify with him. Blustery. Passionate. Occasional foot-in-mouth. Preacher. Sold out follower.

  1. I took a train to Chicago last fall, and I loved it. It was so…civilized! And roomy. (Helped that I was in business class on the way out, but even plebian class on the way home was nicer than a plane.) But of course, Chicago is about the only easy destination to reach from here so it’s not like I have a choice most of the time!
