I have several of John O’Donohue’s blessings in a book on my desk. From time to time I will stop and choose one to pray and meditate on after Scripture readings. There is something about praying a blessing upon the people you love (and even those you don’t!) which is Spirit-empowered.

Today I came across this video of one of his blessings, with photographs from Ireland and the haunting, lovely music of  Michael McGlynn.
