Tonight we had our “Thanksgiving” dinner together as a family. I’m on call and will be at the hospital tomorrow as chaplain on call, and then I have regular work and on-call hours Friday and Saturday. Bearded Brewer is working Friday. The Johnnie is spending time with Cat-Approved-Man and his family. Reedy Girl is doing homework and NaNoWriMo. So we figured tonight we would be a good time to be together!

We enjoyed a scrumptious dinner, including dessert. We talked. We took goofy pictures (stay tuned for Facebook updates!) and talked some more.

Family time is what I’m thankful for tonight. As the girls get older, it’s harder and harder to have these times together. So I’m enjoying them, brief though they may be.
