Bare Bones

Sun through overcast skies with bare trees.

Bare Bones

When it’s all said and done,
And the wind has stripped away all the green,
And it’s just grey and brown and white,
I search for colors, for variety
In situations that will only resolve with time.
I grumble. I try to wait
with patience
and with faith.

So much has changed,
with more changes coming.
Hidden in the mist, the overcast, and the chill,
I believe in the change that is coming,
even though it’s such a long way from spring.

My faith is grounded not in what is seen,
But what can be.

Blessed be.

…we look not at what can be seen
but at what cannot be seen,
for what can be seen is temporary,
but what cannot be seen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
