Whether we liked it or not, we all “sprang forward” with the change to daylight savings time in the USA this past Sunday. There is lightness and brightness slipping in as spring approaches, so let us consider what is springing forth in our lives right now.
Name 5 things that are springing forth, possibly including :
- what you hope for: I hope… for our daughters to grow up strong, well, happy and productive, doing things they love and that honor God.
- what you dread: I dread… the dentist, getting on the scale at my doctor’s office, and any phone call that starts, “I’m OK, but…”
- what you observe: I observe… that the seasons and years seem to spin by faster and faster, and I still don’t have that FlyLady thing down yet. But then, I’ve never been accused of being “fly”.
- what is concrete: I see the concrete… pain at the loss of human relationships, of the ways that we can hurt one another without even trying, and yet the ways that we need one another. People were created to need other people. And to need God. When we muck that up, we live with a lot of needless heartache.
- what is intangible: I see the intangible… Hope that comes to defeat hopelessness; the Promise that will answer all questions; the Truth that will reveal all lies; the Life that conquers death.
I love the hopes you have for your daughters… definitely resonate with this mama. And your words about our ability to muck up relationships and cause pain? Too true…

yes, I too hope my kids continue to grow up healthy and happy…and that we human beings can learn to appreciate each other even if learning to love one another is too great a challenge…
